Leckwith road sign collision: Pair cut from car

A man and a woman have been cut out of a car on one of the main routes into Cardiff after it was in collision with a large road sign.

The accident happened at about 13:30 GMT on the A4232 southbound at Leckwith.

South Wales Fire Service said the red Vauxhall Vectra had a large road sign on top of it when crews arrived.

An air ambulance was sent to the scene, but both the man and the woman were taken to hospital by road ambulance.

South Wales Policeis appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

They also want to hear from anyone who saw the way the Vectra was being driven before the incident.
