Coleg y Cymoedd agrees voluntary redundancy with 41 staff

A college has announced 41 full-time staff members have agreed to take voluntary redundancy.

Coleg y Cymoedd, based in Rhondda Cynon Taff, began the redundancy process in January in a bid to save £1.3m a year.

It followed the announcement that Welsh government was reducing further education budgets by £29.9m.

Principal Judith Evans said the college was "working hard" to ensure learners will be impacted as little as possible.
