Schoolgirl, 15, bailed after Bedwas knife attack

A 15-year-old girl arrested on suspicion of assault following an alleged knife attack at a Caerphilly school has been released on bail.

Police were called to Bedwas High School at 11:05 BST on Wednesday and another girl, also 15, was treated in hospital for a cut on the cheek.

A Caerphilly council spokesman said the incident was dealt with "swiftly" by staff and officers.

Gwent Police said they would continue to work closely with the school.
