Abergavenny motorbike crash: Man died 'doing what he loved'

The family of a motorcyclist who died following a crash in Monmouthshire have said he died doing what he loved.

John Grant, 30, from Bristol, died after his blue Honda bike collided with a Range Rover in Clytha, Abergavenny, at about 19:30 BST on Saturday.

A 60-year-old man from Monmouthshire was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been bailed.

Mr Grant's family said they were "totally and utterly heartbroken".

In a statement, they said: "At 19:15 on Saturday evening I had two beautiful sons who were literally my pride and my joy… by 19:45, Johnny had gone.

"We are all totally and utterly heartbroken to lose him, a loving and beloved son, brother, friend and partner.

"He died doing what he loved. Please hold your children close to you."
