Cardiff speedway: Travel warning as 45,000 head to city

Part of Cardiff city centre will be closed off on Saturday as 45,000 people are expected in the city for the speedway.

Motorsport fans will attend the event at the Principality Stadium, with roads closed from 15:00 BST to 21:30.

High Street, Westgate Street, Quay Street, Guildhall Place, Golate, Park Street and Scott Road will all be closed to traffic.

There will also be a queuing system in place at Cardiff Central Station.

Bus stops in the city centre will not be in use and will be relocated to either Churchill Way for those heading east, Greyfriars Road for north or Tudor Street for west.

The St Mary Street taxi rank will be closed from 15:00 to 21:30, but the Mill Lane rank is open all day.
