A fire involving rubber panels which caused disruption in Cardiff city centre was started deliberately, the fire service has said.

Black smoke was seen over Callaghan Square and the wider area on Wednesday at about 18:10 BST.

Some nearby roads had to be shut for a short time due to smoke blowing across the road.

About 60 people called South Wales Fire and Rescue Service to raise the alarm, a spokesman said.
