Police appeal after rape at Barry Docks station

Detectives are appealing for information after a girl was allegedly raped at a railway station in Vale of Glamorgan.

She was attacked just off the platform at Barry Docks station shortly after 21:00 BST on Friday, 29 July.

Investigating officer Det Con Dilwyn Lewis said it was "an extremely distressing incident for the victim".

A 21-year-old man from Cardiff has been arrested on suspicion of rape and released on bail.

British Transport Police urged anybody who witnessed anything suspicious at or near the station to come forward.
