Man charged after Tonypandy 'chilli powder attack'

A 46-year-old man has been charged after chilli powder was allegedly thrown in the face of a diner at an Indian restaurant.

The alleged incident took place at the Prince of Bengal in Tonypandy, Rhondda Cynon Taff, on Saturday, 21 January.

Kamrul Islam has been charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm, South Wales Police confirmed.

He is due to appear at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Court on Monday, 3 April.
