Teenagers charged over Cardiff pupil rugby match attack

Two teenagers have been charged after Cardiff pupils playing an inter-schools rugby match were attacked.

Pupils from Fitzalan High School and Glyn Derw and Michaelston Federation were playing when the incident happened in Trelai Park, Ely, in March.

Two boys, both aged 16, have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm, affray, possessing an offensive weapon and causing criminal damage.

They are due to appear at Cardiff Youth Court on 11 and 28 July.
