There was queuing traffic on the M4 after a van fire closed two lanes of the motorway on Sunday afternoon.

A Ford Transit caught fire between junction 35 at Pencoed, Bridgend county, and junction 34 for Miskin, Rhondda Cynon Taff, at about 16:15 BST.

South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the cause was accidental.

Two lanes were closed initially, but all lanes had reopened by 18:00. No-one was injured.
