The main road into a Carmarthenshire village is expected to reopen later.

A partial bridge collapse forced the closure of the B4310 in Brechfa in the Cothi Valley on Monday.

Since then motorists have faced lengthy diversions via Llandeilo while engineers have worked to repair the damage.

A spokeswoman for Carmarthenshire council said it was expected the road would reopen at about 1700 GMT on Wednesday.
