Pembrokeshire youth, 17, charged over Solva gorse fire

A 17-year-old youth has been charged in connection with a large gorse fire in Pembrokeshire.

The blaze in Solva started on 7 June and at its height more than 40 firefighters were at the scene.

Dyfed-Powys Police said the teenager had been charged with four counts of criminal damage to property, and is due in court on 19 August.

A 19-year-old woman who was also arrested has been given a conditional caution for theft.

Police said the boy is expected to appear before Haverfordwest Youth Court.
