Man airlifted to hospital after cliff jump on Gower

A man had to be airlifted to hospital after jumping from rocks on the Gower peninsula.

Swansea Coastguard was alerted at 12.05 BST on Saturday after reports one of a group of seven men coasteering had got into difficulty at Fall Bay, Rhossili.

The 24-year-old from Reading had suffered a panic attack and may have swallowed water and banged his head, a spokesman said.

He was taken by helicopter to Morriston Hospital in Swansea.
