RNLI rescue for teen body boarders at Freshwater West

A teenager has been taken to hospital after he and others were rescued at a Pembrokeshire beach.

The teenager had swallowed a large amount of water and had a low breathing rate when pulled from the sea at Freshwater West.

RNLI lifeguards who helped him from the water administered oxygen and said his condition improved before he was taken away by an ambulance.

He was among eight body boarders who became caught in a rip current.

RNLI lifeguards spotted the boys were in trouble around 13:30 BST.
