Police appeal after motorcyclist injured near Glynogwr

South Wales Police are appealing for witnesses after a motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a car.

The incident, involving a grey Vauxhall car, happened on the A4093 near Glynogwr, in Bridgend county, shortly after 0700 BST on Saturday.

The injured man, who was riding a black 125cc Yamaha, was taken to Morriston Hospital, Swansea.

Anyone with information is asked to contact South Wales Police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police want to speak to people who stopped to provide assistance or anyone who might have seen the motorcycle being ridden before the collision.

The road was closed for about four hours after the incident.
