Man's body recovered from river in west Wales

Police are investigating the sudden death of a man whose body was discovered in a river on the Carmarthenshire-Pembrokeshire border on Saturday.

A spokesperson for Dyfed-Powys Police said the body was found in the River Taf near Hebron at 08:25 BST.

Officers attended the scene and the body was recovered from the water.

Police are in in the process of contacting the man's next-of-kin. The coroner has been informed.

Police, paramedics and fire crews were called to the scene

Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service deployed a swift water rescue team after being called to assist paramedics.
