Police join inquiry into Carmarthen coroner John Owen
Police are working alongside the Solicitors Regulation Authority in their investigation into the former Carmarthenshire coroner.
Solicitor John Owen resigned as coroner last week after his practising certificate was suspended.
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed they received a referral from the SRA which is now being evaluated.
The SRA says documents have been removed from Mr Owen's office in Llandeilo.
They confirmed the move is part of their investigation and intervention into the practice John Owen Solicitors.
Carmarthenshire Council said last week Mr Owen had resigned as coroner and his duties are being performed by his deputy Pauline Mainwaring.
The council said it would proceed to fill the position formally, but Ms Mainwaring would perform the duties in the interim.
