The family of a pedestrian who died following a collision involving a bus in Swansea have paid tribute to him as "overwhelmingly kind and friendly".

Richard Taylor, 26, from Sketty in the city, died in hospital the day after the incident on Fabian Way on Monday.

His family said: "He had a strong Christian faith and endeavoured always to help and support others".

They had always been proud of "this incredibly precious and special man", they added.

"He was a true gentleman who always made other people feel important," said the statement.

"He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends, we are absolutely heartbroken."

Officers are still appealing for witnesses to the collision or to Mr Taylor's movements immediately before the incident at 10:44 GMT.

Ten of the 15 bus passengers were treated for shock and police closed the road for three hours.
