Four injured in three-car collision on A487 near St David's

Four people have been taken to hospital after a New Year's Eve collision between three cars on the A487 in Pembrokeshire.

The accident happened at 11:55 GMT between St David's and Fishguard.

Firefighters said one car was upside down in the road when they arrived at the scene. Two people were cut free.

The ambulance service said the four casualties were taken to Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest and in a stable condition.

Firefighters gave first aid and oxygen until three ambulances and an accident doctor arrived on the scene.

A winch and hydraulic cutting gear were also used in the rescue.
