Girl, 12, flown to hospital after fall at Worm's Head, Gower

A 12-year-old girl has been flown to hospital after falling while out walking with her parents.

Swansea coastguards were called at 12:30 GMT after she fell about 10ft (three metres) at Worm's Head, Gower.

Rhosili coastguards attended but requested air assistance from RAF Chivenor because of the terrain.

The girl was flown to Morriston Hospital, Swansea, by RAF Rescue 169. She suffered head and leg injuries but they are not thought to be serious.
