Neath moped death: Police appeal to Ford Focus driver in earlier collision

South Wales Police investigating the death of a scooter rider want to speak to the driver of a dark blue Ford Focus car involved in an earlier collision.

The red moped was in collision with the car at traffic lights on Cimla Road at its junction with Gnoll Park Road at 10:05 GMT on Wednesday, 29 February.

The moped was later involved in a collision with a blue Ford Fiesta, and the 34-year-old rider died.

Witnesses can contact South Wales Police on 101.

Police said the moped, with neither rider or pillion passenger wearing a crash helmet, was in collision with the modern-style Focus.

The car driver was seen getting out of his vehicle to remonstrate with them before moving off.

The rider died after another collision involving the Fiesta shortly before 11:00 GMT on School Road, Neath.

Police want to speak to the Focus driver, anyone who may have seen the incident, or the way in which the moped was being ridden.
