Llanelli girl, 12, hurt in hit-and-run on way to school

Police are appealing for witnesses after a 12-year-old girl was taken to hospital after being hit by a car that failed to stop in Llanelli.

The girl was walking to school on Monday morning with a group of friends along Tunnel Road when she was hit.

She was taken to Prince Philip Hospital and was treated for a minor head injury, cuts and bruises and shock.

Dyfed-Powys Police are looking for a silver car driven by a thick-set man with grey hair.
