Swansea: Missing man phones coastguards on 999 from sea

A missing man has phoned emergency services on 999 to say he was waist deep in sea water and needed help.

Police, fire and coastguard officers in Swansea were involved in the search for the 44-year-old man after he was reported missing on Tuesday night.

They were searching the Swansea Bay area when they received a call from him saying he was in the sea opposite Swansea University.

The man was rescued by coastguards and taken to Morriston Hospital.
