'Disorientated' Burry Port fishing boat runs out of fuel

A fisherman who became disorientated in poor visibility was towed in after his boat ran out of fuel, coastguards say.

The man, from Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, had left Tenby earlier on Wednesday to return to Burry Port.

But after the boat went round in circles until its fuel tank emptied, he called for help at the western end of Cefn Sidan Beach, Carmarthen Bay.

The RNLI Burry Port lifeboat was launched at 14:30 BST and towed the vessel to its berth at Burry Port.
