Injured horse rider airlifted from Amroth beach
A horse rider was airlifted to hospital after a fall on a beach in Pembrokeshire.
Milford Haven Coastguard said the 51-year-old woman, from Whitland, had been riding one horse and leading another on Amroth beach on Saturday afternoon.
The woman suffered a head injury and was taken to Withybush Hospital by air ambulance.
Coastguards from Tenby and Manorbier helped in the operation.
The coastguard said it was believed something had spooked one of the horses, pulling the woman off the horse she was riding.
She was found lying face down and bleeding from a head wound.
Dyfed-Powys Police were also called to the scene.
