Work to begin on £6.8m Gowerton Primary School in Swansea

Work is set to start on a new £6.8m primary school in Swansea.

Developers Interserve will start work on the new Gowerton Primary School building in mid-October with the aim of having pupils in by spring 2016.

Gowerton Primary School was established in 2010 following the merger of Tregwyr infant and Tregwyr junior schools and is currently based across three sites.

Head teacher Susie Ralph said: "We are looking forward to bringing our whole school community onto one site."
