A dog rescued by kayakers from a river gorge in Carmarthenshire has died.

The foxhound, named Kayak by rescuers, was taken to an animal sanctuary after she was found with multiple injuries near Llangadog earlier in November.

Channel Four's "Supervet" Noel Fitzpatrick tried to help the animal but found Kayak had irreparable damage to her internal organs.

The Many Tears Animal Rescue sanctuary raised over £10,000 to meet the cost but the vet waived the fees.
