Delivery van thefts in Swansea and Neath probed

A spate of delivery van thefts across Swansea and Neath are being investigated by police.

Four vehicles have been taken over the last week and some had their parcels stolen.

The vans were snatched after drivers left them with the engines running to deliver items.

South Wales Police said the latest theft happened at Heol Illtyd, Caewern, Neath at 10:45 GMT on Saturday 13 December.

The previous incidents happened on:

  • 2 December at Garngoch Industrial Estate in Gorseinon at 12:13 GMT, when an Iveco van was taken along with 36 televisions
  • 6 December at 13:54 GMT on Gorseinon Road. A Vauxhall Vivaro was taken and later found in Grovesend, with 60 parcels stolen
  • 12 December at 11:41 GMT at Rhyd y Defaid Drive, Sketty, where a yellow and green City Link Ford Transit van was stolen and later found with four parcels taken

Witnesses are asked to call 101.
