£1.2m funding for Bishop's Park, Abergwili, Carmarthenshire

A Carmarthenshire park which houses a medieval palace will be restored after a grant was received for more then £1.2m.

Bishop's Park at Abergwili forms the grounds of the County Museum which is housed in the 19th Century Bishop's Palace.

The building is surrounded by lawns, gardens and trees, and bordered by a lake which was part of the River Tywi.

The £1.2m has come from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
