Boy, 11, taken to Llanelli hospital after hit-and-run

An 11-year-old boy has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run in Llanelli.

Dyfed-Powys Police said he was hit by a black car with a registration possibly starting HV07, on Hall Street at 15:25 GMT on Monday.

The boy was taken to Prince Philip Hospital but his injuries were not serious.

Detectives said the female driver stopped to check the child but then drove off.

She is described as being eastern European.

Witnesses should call 101.
