Brain injuries rehab unit opening in Llanelli

Wales' first rehabilitation centre for people who have suffered brain injuries is opening in Llanelli.

The £3.2m Ty Aberdafen has been built by the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (Birt) and will treat people with psychological and physical needs.

The building caters for 24 people in 18 rooms, two independent living flats and four self-contained apartments.

Staff will help people who have lost skills following an accident, stroke, assault or illness.
