Panorama reporter John Sweeney defends North Korea student trip

Help

The BBC Panorama reporter behind a programme on North Korea has strongly defended the documentary against claims from a university that it put students at risk.

The London School of Economics says three journalists used a visit by one of its student's societies as cover for a filming trip to the secretive state.

The reporter, John Sweeney, said the students were twice told a journalist was accompanying them and that they faced a risk of arrest.
