Meet the 'Germaican' German reggae stars

A summer of music festivals is under way across Europe - and in Germany the reggae festival line-ups are attracting huge attention.

But it is not just Jamaican artists filling the stages - many of the shows have also featured home-grown German reggae bands and artists.

These so-called 'Germaicans' have embraced Jamaican culture and Rasta beliefs, and are appealing to a new generation of young Europeans - many of whom are disillusioned with the status quo.

BBC News visited a reggae festival in Germany to find out more.
