Freedom2014: 'Showing my hair'

Leah Vincent was brought up by an ultra-Jewish orthodox family in the US, but left home.

Her mother always wore a wig, and never allowed her hair to be seen.

"Some women find freedom in covering their hair, some women find freedom in wearing their hair uncovered," says Leah of her video which she created in collaboration with artists Ned and Aya Rosen.

"Freedom means having the ability to make that choice for yourself," she adds.

People from around the world have been sharing their paintings, photographs and videos with the BBC on the theme of freedom as part of the BBC's freedom2014 season. Find out more here.
