Vatican declares Popes John Paul II and John XXIII saints

Two leading popes of the 20th Century have been declared saints at an unprecedented ceremony in Rome.

Up to a million pilgrims had gathered in St Peter's Square to honour John Paul II and John XXIII.

It is the first time two popes have been canonised at the same time.
