Living through Iran's 'cultural revolution'

In summer of 1980, Iran's religious leaders set up eliminating opposition to their rule.

To stamp out secular leaders and religious moderates within the country's universities they announced a cultural revolution to "cleanse" them of non-Islamic elements.

Mehdi Khorasani was a maths student who, along with some of his fellow students, tried to resist.
