Securing schooling in South Sudan


South Sudan is looking forward to celebrating its independence on Saturday but it will start life as one of the world's least developed countries.

Just half of its children aged 6-13 are in education, while 84% of women cannot read or write.

The BBC's Nyambura Wambugu has been exploring some of the challenges facing education in South Sudan.
