Achebe funeral due to take place

The funeral of the Nigerian author Chinua Achebe is due to take place on Thursday in his home town of Ogidi in the east of the country.

Chinua Achebe's books including his best known novel, Things Fall Apart, drew international acclaim and influenced many writers.

He died in March in the United States where he had lived for more than two decades.
