There are deep concerns about growing instability in the Central African Republic.

The head of the army, Jean-Pierre Dolle-Waya, has been sacked, following an offensive by forces loyal to the ousted president, Francois Bozize.

Nearly 100 people have been killed in the first large-scale operation the former president's forces have staged, since he was toppled back in March.

Alex Jakana reports.
