South Sudan ceasefire talks begin in Addis Ababa

Talks on ending the conflict in South Sudan have formally opened in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa.
Teams representing the government and the rebels who support the sacked Deputy President Riek Machar will focus on agreeing a ceasefire and the release of political prisoners.
At least 1,000 people have been killed and more than 180,000 displaced since the conflict began on 15 December.
