Red algae closes Sydney beaches

Sydney's famous Bondi Beach was closed to the public on Tuesday after the sea turned red with algae, and a neighbouring beach remains closed today.

It is thought the algae, which is still affecting neighbouring Clovelly Beach and several more to the north of Bondi, could cause skin irritation.
