Police in the Bangladeshi capital have used stun grenades and rubber bullets to disperse a protest organised by the Islamist group Hefazat-e Islam.

At least 15 people are reported to have been killed and more than 60 hurt after clashes between the protesters and authorities in Dhaka.

The group had gathered tens of thousands in the city to call for stronger Islamic policies.
