Bo Xilai: Prosecutors call for 'no leniency' as trial ends

26 August 2013 Last updated at 13:59 BST

The trial of former top Chinese politician Bo Xilai has ended, with prosecutors calling for "no leniency" to be shown.

Mr Bo denies charges of bribery, corruption and abuse of power.

Heavily edited transcripts of the five-day hearing have been published online but a reference by Mr Bo in his defence to "superior orders" has disappeared from the transcript.

John Sudworth reports from Jinan.
