Indonesia asylum boat sinks leaving many dead

At least 21 people drowned when a boat carrying dozens of migrants seeking asylum in Australia sank off the coast of Java, Indonesian officials have said.

An unknown number of people remain missing and one of the survivors has accused the Australian government of not responding to their calls for help.
