27 October 2013 Last updated at 09:41 GMT

At least five people have been killed in clashes between police and protesters across Bangladesh at the start of a 60-hour general strike.

But Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her critics disagree over the composition of the interim administration.

Mahfuz Sadique reports from Dhaka.
