Typhoon Haiyan: Devastation on the island of Leyte

Typhoon Haiyan caused widespread devastation across the Philippines and has affected some 11 million people, according to the UN.

The BBC's Alastair Leithead surveyed the scene on the island of Leyte, where people are still waiting for aid almost a week after the storm struck.
