Prince Charles in Sri Lanka amid human rights row

14 November 2013 Last updated at 23:59 GMT

Prince Charles has arrived in Sri Lanka to represent the Queen at the Commonwealth summit which opens on Friday.

David Cameron is also attending, despite some calls for a boycott because of Sri Lanka's human rights record.

Meanwhile, Sri Lanka's president has hit back at criticism over human rights, saying any complaints or abuses committed during or after its civil war will be dealt with.

Nick Robinson reports from Colombo.
