Thai military seizes power in coup

Thailand's army chief says the military is taking control of government in a move which appears to confirm a full-blown coup is under way.

Troops surrounded the venue where parties on both sides of Thailand's political divide were meeting for a second round of talks aimed at resolving the country's political crisis.
