Help

China has admitted that the Three Gorges Dam has caused a range of environmental problems that need to be urgently addressed.

The government in Beijing says it needs to prevent geological disasters and help people who have been forced to move.

It is the first time the central government has acknowledged problems with the world's biggest dam project.

Michael Bristow reports from Beijing.
