Woman arrested over Boyle, Roscommon, fire which killed girl

A woman in her 50s has been arrested in connection with an arson attack in Boyle, County Roscommon, in which a child was killed.

Five-year-old Mari Connolly died in the fire in the early hours of Monday 3 October.

Her father and her two sisters, aged six and eight, escaped after he jumped from an upstairs window with the girls in his arms.

A man in his 30s remains in custody in connection with the fire.
